Ghost Wood Designs is a boutique family business, owned and operated by Ryan and Jenelle Hyde, with four year old twins Max and Lani as helpful offsiders. Ryan and Jenelle were both born and bred in Western Australia. Ryan was raised in Varley, on the edge of the Great Western Wilderness Woodlands, and completed his cabinetmaking apprenticeship in 1997. The couple travelled around Australia and spent six years living in the rainforest highlands of Far North Queensland, which is where the twins were born. The family returned to WA at the outset of COVID and have settled in the Bridgetown Region of beautiful south-west WA.
We’re proud to produce individually crafted timber products of the highest quality. Each one is prepared at our workshop, where we commit countless hours and invest careful attention into each and every piece we create. We’re always proud of our work, bringing you incredibly bespoke items highlighting the beauty and warmth of timber. What timber do we use? A range of recycled timber and timber which has been grown and harvested sustainably. Each suited to its purpose, providing durable quality with timeless elegance. This includes but is not limited to Tasmanian Oak, Queensland Maple, Blackwood, Silky Oak, Jarrah, Iron Bark, Stringy Bark, Salmon Gum and more. We hope you enjoy our work as much as we enjoy bringing it to you.
As well as creating our own range of bespoke furniture and designs, we also collaborate with clients to produce pieces customised to suit their preferences and property. We have the expertise and capacity to extend our services to include full kitchen and bathroom renovations, celebrating the strength and beauty of natural timbers in a contemporary and practical context. Combining a few different timbers and building materials can create interesting results and contrasts, adding depth and character to the timber. We provide free local delivery, within a 20km radius of our workshop, and can organise freight Australia wide for all of our timber items.
